Use Music To Fight Poverty And Sicknesses – Bobi Wine Advises Fellow Musicians

Versatile veteran musician and now a politician Robert Kyagulanyi commonly known as Bobi Wine advised musicians to release songs that will sensitize people about poverty, hunger and sickness that surfaced the whole country.

According to him, clearly he spent many years beefing with the likes of Jose Chameleone and Bebe Cool instead of spending more time teaching Ugandans ways of kicking out poverty and sickness through music.

But because of their selfishness and differences at that time instead became benefits to them. They beefed each other and at the end of the day, they got booked to make money.

We used to beef each other which was not reasonable but it would bring food our table. I advise young artistes not to emulate our actions. We used to sing just to entertain but not to sensitize. However, we have tried to change it and new artistes should use music as a tool to tackle poverty and sickness,” Bobi Wine said.

Bobi Wine also asked musicians to find other peaceful ways of ending differences instead of fighting each other. Musicians he praised include Chosen Becky, Fefe Bussi and Dax Vibes revealing that they managed to move on the safe side.
