This was in regards to his son Solomon Kampala who won the Buzz Teenz Award for the best-dressed personality. At the same event, Kyagulanyi’s daughter, Shallom Namagembe sang one of her father’s songs leaving people in awe.
An excited Kyagulanyi said that his role is to guide his children onto the right path and not self impose his wishes onto theirs.
“Well, my children are free to do anything they want. My role as a parent is to guide and groom them along the right path so that they don’t do anything that will embarrass them, the family, or their nation. For instance, my father wanted me to be a doctor and my mother wanted me as a lawyer. I however didn’t do so although I went back to school to pursue law in memory of my mother. So I will be happy in whichever path they choose to follow,” Kyagulanyi said.
Talking about his music career which is on and off, the singer said that he only releases music when he gets time. He also added that music is one of the tools to depose the regime.
Through his music, he’s able to inspire even those who are more qualified than him in the struggle.
Bobi Wine was also questioned about his views on the late singer Philly Bongole Lutaaya. This was in regards to the late singer’s music which dominates December despite being dead for over three decades now.
Kyagulanyi said that despite his immense talent, Philly was a very patriotic man who translated his energy into his music.
