My Father Is Irreplaceable – Andrew Ojok Oulanyah

Andrew Ojok Oulanyah, the son to the late speaker, Hon Jacob Oulanyah, has described his father as a person irreplaceable in many ways. This is after he was elected to replace him in Parliament for Omoro County.

Andrew Ojok said that his father was an accomplished and dedicated man towards serving his country. Therefore he’s just in many ways irreplaceable both as a father and a leader.

“My father was a great man and an accomplished man dedicated to the nation. He is in many ways irreplaceable, not only as a father but as a leader.

One of my father’s values that we are trying to carry forward is the Ubuntu concept. Having a servant-led leadership,” he said while appearing in NBS Face-off program.

Furthermore, the Omoro County MP-elect said that his father always viewed NRM as family. It’s also how he now sees them. This is the reason he embraced the good and bad parts of the party.

He went ahead to say that he is glad about the Electoral Commission’s comments about the election being the most peaceful in recent times. He further said that they put him into the game as a substitute to deliver victory.

“According to what the Electoral Commission shared with us, it was the most peaceful election. And I share that sentiment. The game is already on. I am simply being put in as a substitute to deliver a victory within the time of the game,” he further said.

One of his priorities will be advocating on how to fund SACCOs. This is because they help people to borrow money to sustain their livelihoods.

He also plans to continue with some of the local enhancement economic ventures his late father had started. These are aimed at helping households who can’t access banks increase their household income.

There are also plans to boost the health system in the area. These will see Lalogi Health Centre IV upgraded to a district hospital.

Other health centre IIs will be upgraded to health center IIIs in line with the Parish Development Model.
