They recently started construction of the road that leads to her home in Bataka zone, Makerere-Kavule in Kawempe South constituency.
Hon. Nabbanja, as Prime Minister, signed her first executive order making the Ministry of Works to construct the road. Following Nabbanja’s orders, the Ministry of Works rushed to embark on the construction immediately.
They started with grading the bumpy George Kimbowa road from Bombo road to Nabbanja’s house. The close makes up about one-third of the entire road that is about 300 meters long.
Having a high-ranking government official in one’s area brings such benefits. This is according to Ibrahim Kibalama, the Chairman of the Butaka zone.
Kibalama says most of the feeder roads in his area are in a very poor condition having been long ignored by KCCA. He added that thugs and robbers intercept people on these bad feeder roads to steal from them in the night.
Hearing from the residents in the area, a one Joweria Nakachwa is very appreciative that they are constructing the road. This is because it shows a good image of an official of the Prime minister’s calibre.
However, the roadside grocery seller also asked that their road too should be constructed as well as all other neighboring roads.
It sends a wrong impression to the public if Nabbanja’s neighbors are suffering while she is cruising on a good road.
