Nakaayi Halimah Wins Gold In 800m At 2019 IAAF World Championships

Last evening, the Ugandan female runner, Nakaayi Halimah won a gold medal in women’s 800 meter final at the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) world Championships which are taking place at the National multi-purpose stadium Khalifa international Stadium in Qatar’s capital Doha.

Nakaayi Halimah broke a national record by posting 1:58.04. While Rogers Raeyn and Wilson Ajee from United States emerged 2^nd and 3^rd respectively.

Nanyondo Winnie finished 4^th in the time of 1:59.18.

According to the President of Uganda Athletics Federation (UAF), Mr Otuchet Dominic, It’s really good news for Uganda after winning a gold medal in women’s 800 meter race. God is good.

Today on Tuesday the 1^st October 2019, other Ugandan runners including Kiplagat Benjamin, Sikowo Boniface and Chemutai Albert will compete in 300 meter race.
