Next Media Services Speaks Out On The Arrest Of Kayz And Other Colleagues

Next Media Services the home to Sanyuka and NBS TV’s has come out to release a statement regarding the status of its workers, Kayz and others who were arrested on the 1st of October 2021.

These are Isaac Kawalya popularly known as Kayz, Brian Wako and William ‘Wako’ Makuliro.

Police arrested the trio and remanded them to Kitalya prison after singer Omulangira Suuna‘s case to the authorities over defamation.

A few weeks ago, a feud involving these Sanyuka TV presenters and the singer broke out.

The Love yo crooner accused the three of defamation of his name and threatened to sue them. Suna gave them an ultimatum to apologize and an intention to sue notice which they did not obey.

The singer took to his Facebook page to confirm that indeed police had arrested the trio.

“The suspects have been remanded to Kitalya prison until the 15th of October 2021. With God everything is possible,” Ssuuna posted.

However Next media services head of brand and Communications manager Derekford Mugumisa in a letter said that their workers had been denied bail.

He attributed this to time constraints as indicated by the judge who was to okay the bail application.

“Resultantly, the three have been denied their rights to apply for bail over a matter arising from remarks on Sanyuka TV’s daily ‘Morning Xpress’ TV show founded on Omulangira Ssuuna’s own declarations and expressions. We are certain that justice will prevail at the end of it all and the justification will stand,” part of the statement read.

He added that they are taking the necessary measures to have them released as soon as possible.

Apparently, the trio alleged that Ssuuna sleeps with old women and even has a shrine for traditional purposes.

They also added that Ssuuna had bad omens and was even an orphan. The singer denied it since all his parents are still alive.

The singer who appeared in a press conference promised to teach these presenters a lesson they would never forget.
