Nigerian Artist Yemi Alade Advocates For Unifying African Passport

Famous Nigerian artist Yemi Alade has come out to advocate for a unifying African passport for better trade business and business cooperation. She said that besides the music, other businesses would be easier to deal with across the continent.

The singer recently released an album known as Rebel Queen. She said that she has worked so hard to put the album out but at the moment she is looking at how she is going to distribute it to different countries.

She said that so many people are reaching out to her about the album. This has made her realize the importance of being truthful with herself.

According to Yemi Alade, as she ages, she now sees who she has always wanted to be and therefore wants to see Africa cooperating.

“I am very proud of this moment and grateful to everyone who has reached out. It’s a testament to the hard work, especially with my album Rebel Queen. I am becoming more of who I want to be. I’ve realized the importance of being truthful with myself. In doing so, I’ve come to see that Africa could benefit greatly from a unifying passport. This would encourage better trade and cooperation within the continent,”

It should be noted that most musicians make albums targeting fans outside Africa. As for Yemi Alade, she said that she would want her music to be more African because they have made her who she is.
