Nigerian Kills Fellow Nigerian In South Africa

An official from the consulate of Nigeria in the republic of South Africa, Hon Adama Godwin has blamed murder of a Nigerian, Chibuzor-Nwankwo Linus from the State of Enugu  by a fellow countryman, Nwarienne Lawrence from the State of Anambra.

According to the statement from the News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN ) in Abuja on Sunday, Hon Godwin was so shocked because of the killing.

Nwarienne, a Nigerian owning a bar in South Africa killed his fellow Nigerian, Chibuzor-Nwankwo, 42, on Friday in Kempton Park, Johannesburg.

The consul said Nwarienne shot his fellow countryman just at his bar for unclear reasons, the police immediately arrested the suspect and begun investigation into the case.

The consul official and the High Commissioner are very anxious on this incident. We condemn this wicked act and we never expected it from citizens who are meant to support and protect each other.

This incident is terrifying and could make South African police forces to impose tough restrictions on other related future killings. We’re going to take this on a serious note,’’he added.

This incident is being watched over by Nigerian community in South Africa to ensure proper investigations and justice into the killing in order to avoid future related cruel actions, according to Premium times ng.
