Nobert Mao Indirectly Accuses Baganda Of Tribalism

There is no absolute doubt that DP president Nobert Mao has found a hard time leading the Democratic Party and under his tenure, the party has seen a massive decline.

This saw his Twitter page get heated up as he accused the Baganda of tribalism.

It’s a known fact that tribe among other factors plays a big role in Ugandan politics. Mao, therefore, feels that this is one of the things at play in the hospitalization of Speaker, Hon Jacob Oulanyah.

He accused NUP of organizing gangs to demonstrate outside a Seattle hospital where the speaker is being hospitalized.

The DP president through his Twitter page said that the same people wishing the speaker death are the ones who threw parties at the death of Gen Paul Lokech.

Mao then said it was still this lot that refused passage to ex-president, Milton Obote’s dead body through Buganda to his ancestral home for burial.

He further said it was them that betrayed Ben Kiwanuka. Therefore there is no truth in them.

“The same people who threw parties to celebrate the death of Gen. Paul Lokech are the same ones wishing Speaker Jacob Oulanyah dead. Their likes refused Milton Obote’s dead body passage through Luwero to Akokoro for burial! They betrayed Ben Kiwanuka. There is no truth in them,” Mao said.

According to all the stated facts/allegations, it all points to the Baganda. However, this did not go down well in his comment section as these decided to fire him up. Many wondered how he’s been let to lead a party formed by their forefathers yet delivering nothing.

“The same person accusing Baganda of tribalism is the same person leading the Baganda-founded party, DP, for all these years not UPC.!!!???,” one user said.

“You’re naked and if your fellow Northerners knew well how even Kony project was business btn you and Museveni, they would eliminate you before it’s too late. You are now on another project with Salim Saleh to grab Acholi land if abroad was your only hope, mission impossible,” another Mao follower said.

The DP president has been blasting NUP accusing it of hypocrisy in the past few days. Besides, NUP has always been accused by it’s opposers of being a Buganda caucus.
