NRM Advised To Serve All Ugandans Regardless Of Their Political Affiliation

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) on Tuesday held a thanksgiving ceremony to prize the achievements the party registered this year.

Some of these achievements include the Presidential elections victory and winning parliamentary seats and other local council elections.

The ceremony took place at the party headquarters in Nakasero Kampala. NRM deputy chairperson for Eastern region, Captain George Mike Mukula graced the ceremony.

The presiding priest, Rev. Patrick Kamara of All Saints Nakasero urged the congregation to respect God
by offering good and effective leadership to Ugandans.

He said they should do this equally for all without considering the political affiliations.

“NRM is a party in power; therefore we expect its leadership to serve all Ugandans regardless of their
political affiliation. Whether you disagree or not, we are all Ugandans and we need to treat each other
with courtesy,” Kamara said.

Sheikh Muhammad appreciated Tadwongo

Sheikh Muhammed Ali who represented the Mufti of Uganda thanked the NRM Secretary-General for his effort to fix political challenges within the party.

Captain Mike Mukula also lauded government saying under Gen. Museveni, the country has been very
peaceful. He also added that they have reduced the infant mortality rate leading to steady
population growth.

The NRM Secretary-General Richard Todwongo also condemned land grabbing in the country and castigated all perpetrators.

Additionally, he said the government is ready to fight for the common person facing injustices
of all sorts.

“The issue of land is a serious matter in this country, but I urge all the party leaders to resist and fight against land grabbing and unlawful evictions. The government is looking for a lasting solution to compensate the exploitative Mailo owners,” Todwong said.
