NRM Cadres Transformers Seek Prayers As Museveni Moves To Review Uganda’s Constitution

Rtd Lt Mugisha Moses aka Magufuri is the National Chief coordinator for Transformers Cadres Association Uganda. He asked the House of Bishops to keep praying for the association members now that they’re pushing for visionary proposed reforms.

Magufuri, the former Ntugamo Municipality Parliamentary aspirant represented the Association President Felix Adupa Ongwech. This was at the send-off of Canon Eldard Mbaine in Ruhinda South, Mitooma District in South Western Uganda.

He thanked Mbaine’s children on behalf of the association for having emulated their father’s character. Als also keeping the family strong amidst the earthly winds.

Magufuri also referred to the late Canon Mbaine as a biblical seed that fell on fertile soil and advised the children to remain cooperative. He said this would help them maintain their fallen father’s legacy. The burial attracted a number of dignitaries ranging from religious leaders to cultural and political leaders.

The association is a group of NRM parliamentary candidates that lost in the 2020 party primaries.

It is led by Felix Adupa Ongwech, the former Kioga County parliamentary contestant in Amolatar district.

They are demanding from president Museveni a succession plan for a peaceful power transition that will guarantee safety for all Ugandans. According to them, it is time for Museveni and the NRM to start planning for how the country will remain peaceful, with or without them.

Among other proposals being manifested by the group, they are also backing the election of the president by the Parliamentary Senate. Additionally, they are backing biometric voting, restoration of term limits, regional tiers, among others.

The Cadres also assert that many Ugandans have on several occasions lost their lives. With others being kidnapped, tortured, and all forms of inhuman acts.
