NRM Has No Ideology – Imam Kasozi

Political analyst and Muslim cleric Imam Kasozi has torn through the ruling party, the NRM. Kasozi while appearing on the NBS Morning Breeze show said that the reason NRM is still standing is because of two things.

That is positions to give to people and some money to hand out. Short of these and the party is no more at all according to Kasozi.

“NRM has no ideology. It is only strong because it has two things; positions to give to people and some money to give to people. Without those, there is no NRM.”

The NRM meanwhile has always listed its ideologies as patriotism, Nationalism, Pan-Africanism, and socio-economic transformation.

Meanwhile, Kasozi also opined with Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s remarks of the NRM being a reactionary organization. Its formation according to Kasozi was reactionary and it will continue to be so.

The political analyst also called upon media houses to be brave and invite Muhoozi to their stations. This will help to hear the numerous controversial tweets from the host’s mouth himself.

“NRM’s formation itself was reactionary, and because of the way it was started, that will continue. So,
@mkainerugaba is right to assert that NRM is reactionary.

I want the media houses in Uganda to be bold and invite Gen. @mkainerugaba, and we hear about the tweets from the horse’s mouth.”

The NRM old guard has however maintained that they has no problem. And the reason Muhoozi’s tweets are not regarded by even the parry chairman is that issues are discussed internally via the CEC.
