Sembabule Town is not the only witness to this violence. One person died in Sheema. Butalejja is witnessing unrest, voters have been striking and burning tyres through out the night. This is in dissatisfaction with the process of handing the NRM primaries. Police is deploying together with army to ensure safety and peace at different polling stations .
Steven Waako, an aspirant in Jinja died after getting involved in an accident. who was the Kigula South NRM MP aspirant died on Thursday evening in hospital. He has been the diocesan lands and estates officer and had resigned to concentrate on politics. This however has not affected electronics in Jinja as they are still on and voters are ready to make their decision.
The NRM primaries have been the talk around the country most especially this week. Unlike other years, this time round, the tension is on another level probably because of the change in the way of campaign. Accusations of bribery have been labelled against some aspirants making the elections unfair already. All eyes are on the ruling party because they definitely set the pace for other parties and also the national elections at large.
