Apparently, everything that they are doing now is Buganda-oriented yet they want to be a national party.
“@NUP_Ug is a political party that has decided to anchor itself in Buganda. When you anchor yourself in Buganda, what is the common issue that usually unites Buganda, ‘ebyaffe’, our thing.”
However, it seems most NUP supporters didn’t like this at all. They dragged UPC in the mad too.
“Just like UPC established itself in your area but having headquarters in Kampala, this spirit of tribalism should stop! We have candidates in eastern, northern and some few who were rigged by the ruling government, in your area specifically, people are threatened not to join @NUP,” a one Semalulu Emmanuel.
“Even if Kyagulanyi took power, he won’t grant “ebyaffe’. Shes only invoking it to validate tribal sentiments. Nup has made efforts in all regions but rejected, its not a choice. Even the very intelligent lose it whenever the idea of Buganda pops up. No apologise, we are who we are,” a one Sekirime Steven.
Cecilia Ogwal however said NUP has increased the number of people in opposition which is a good thing.
“The way we are now, we should thank God for @NUP_Ug because it has added to our (opposition) numbers.”
