NUP District Chairpersons Rally Behind Mpuuga’s Thanksgiving Mass

In a remarkable display of camaraderie, district chairpersons from the National Unity Platform (NUP) joined Mathias Mpuuga’s Thanksgiving Mass at Kitovu Arena in Masaka City yesterday. Among the distinguished attendees were Fred Nyenje Kayiira (Bukomansimbi) and Andrew Batemyetto (Masaka), who turned up to express their unwavering support for Mpuuga’s event.

For Nyenje, the district chairperson of Bukomansimbi, their presence at the Thanksgiving Mass was a powerful statement of unity, transcending political differences. “We came to show our appreciation for Mpuuga’s achievements and dedication to our community,” Nyenje shared. “We believe in unity and celebrating each other’s successes, regardless of any political differences that may exist.”

Valuing community and togetherness

Nyenje further emphasized that their attendance at the thanksgiving mass was a testament to their deep-rooted values of community and togetherness.

Their presence served as a tangible demonstration of their commitment to supporting initiatives that bring tangible benefits to the people they represent. “We will continue to support initiatives that benefit our people. We are not rebelling against the party; we are simply standing up for what we believe in – unity and community,” Nyenje added.

In clarifying their actions, Nyenje emphasized that their show of support was not a rebellion against the party, but rather a stand for their core beliefs. By celebrating Mpuuga’s achievements and coming together as a community, they aimed to uphold the values of unity and togetherness that they hold dear.

Spirit and solidarity

Andrew Batemyetto, the district chairperson of Masaka, echoed Nyenje’s sentiments, highlighting Mpuuga’s unwavering commitment to the people. “We stand with Mpuuga in spirit and solidarity,” Batemyetto declared.

He further emphasized the importance of influential leaders, including Bobi Wine, Mpuuga, DP Bloc, and FDC, uniting to achieve a common goal. According to Batemyetto, everyone is working towards the same objective of effecting change within the government.

Batemyetto stressed the significance of influential leaders joining forces to work towards a common goal. Recognizing the impact they can collectively make, he called for unity and collaboration among leaders with substantial followings. By coming together, they can harness their influence and drive positive change within the government.

In addition to his call for unity, Batemyetto expressed his support for the parliamentary petition, recognizing it as a crucial step in the right direction.

He firmly believes that this petition represents a significant stride towards effecting the desired change. By rallying behind this cause, Batemyetto and others are determined to bring about the transformative shifts necessary for a brighter future.
