NUP Has Never Boycotted IPOD – Salaamu Musumba

Seasoned politician and FDC top wig, Salaamu Musumba, has come out to reveal that the National Unity Platform (NUP) has never boycotted the InterParty Organization for Dialogue (IPOD).

According to Musumba, the Kyagulanyi-led party has never been part of the IPOD. They never signed up for it and therefore, they can’t boycott something they never joined in the first place.

She further said that her party Forum Democratic Change has also refused to renew their participation in IPOD. Besides unlike rumors that they pick money from IPOD, the reality is that they don’t.

They are only in IPOD to generate ideas on how to carry the country forward and not money minting.

“NUP never signed up for IPOD so it never boycotted anything. You only boycott when you are in. It opted out. It has never come even near the door. We are on the table of IPOD to generate ideas of how to carry our country forward. We pick no money from IPOD. As I speak today, we (FDC) are out of IPOD,” she said.

The ex-Kamuli woman MP aspirant also said that IPOD can be hijacked and subverted. Besides FDC’s boycott of the entity is historic.

They have tasked their colleagues to tell them what IPOD has achieved over the years to no avail.

Furthermore, Salaam Musumba said that as FDC, they didn’t sign up for IPOD because they want an audit. They can’t be doing the same thing for five years over and over again.

As FDC, they have been part of IPOD’s inception and structuring but what is lacking now is dialogue.
