“As we celebrate international nurses and midwives day we appeal to government to take safety of nurses as priority number one and pay risk allowance for nurses and midwives because they are the most exposed to risk for long hours, “Kiplangat said.
Presiding over international nurses and midwives day celebration on Tuesday 12th Kiplangat also called upon government to address housing for nurses during covid-19 pandemic.
Across the globe, over 100 nurses have been affected and died due to covid and many were infected.
Kiplangat applauded nurses leaders for their contribution of items worth 19 million towards covid intervention.
