He said that before the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), leaders of UMA started asking artists to save money in the UMA Sacco.
He said as an artist, he saved around 4.5 million shillings and was promised that the money would be shared at the end of the year. Omukunja said the year ended long time ago and there are no signs of even sharing the money that artists were saving.
“I want my money back from Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) , Hanson Baliruno and Halima Namakula told me to save money. That it will be shared at the end of the year. I have saved about 4.5 million and I need my money back at the moment,” Omukunja Atasera.
At the moment Hanson and Halima both moved to the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF). However, they told him that they don’t know where the money is.
He should, therefore, also join the federation or he can keep asking for money from the association as there are people still there.
