Just after scooping two top nominations in the CAF Awards (Best African player and Best African player based in Africa), Uganda Cranes captain Dennis onyango Masinde has again made it to the final eleven of 2017 CAF Champions League team.

Despite Onyango’s Mamelodi Sundowns failing to reach the semi final, he was key to side in the group stages as he was always named best goal keeper in the weekly CAF team. This is the the second season in a row the shot-stopper has been named in the Champions league team of the year.
The other players on the team include; Hamdi Nagguez, Youssef Rabeh, Farouk Chafai, Ali Maaloul, Brahim Nekkach, Ben Amor Amine, Mohamed Ounajem ,Percy Tau, Moamenu Zakaria and Taha Yassine Khenessi.
On Saturday Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca won the 2017 CAF Champions League after the beat Egypt’s Al Ahly 1-0 in the return leg of the final. Wydad won 2-1 on aggregate since the first leg ended in a 1-1 draw.
