Taking to his X page, Otafiire Junior said that these Balokole should stop bothering people on different social media platforms. He said that most of these don’t understand the history between Israel and Palestine.
All they care about is showing support for Israel on the basis of Christianity. However, he told them that most of the Jews aren’t Christians.
“My Ugandan “balokole” friends and most especially WhatsApp university group aunties, if you don’t understand the history between Israel and Palestine, please keep quiet. Stop sending us hashtags like [I stand with Israel] simply because they are Christians. 98% aren’t Christians.”
It is true that the Israelites have a very small population who are Christians. As per Wikipedia, 73.6% are Jewish, 18.1% are Muslims with just 1.9% are Christians.
However, most Christians especially in Africa hardly know this. But simply because Christianity has its roots in Israel since it’s where Jesus Christ was born, people think that by default, Jews are Christians.
Most Christians in fact through social media have expressed support for Israel in the war that is raging on this false Christian notion.
Meanwhile, both countries have lost scores of people and there doesn’t seem to be a peaceful solution to the end of this war.
