Pallaso said that this was to rescue his Range Rover impounded by URA.
As some ridiculed him, others reached out and sent him whatever money they could afford. By the end, he had collected 5.4m shillings which he all gave away.
“I jumped on the Davido Challenge a few days ago as I told my fans I wanted to rescue my Range Rover. However, I didn’t need it. I was able to collect 5.4m shillings and gave 1m to fellow sick singer Oscar. I remained with 4.4 million and topped it up with 3.1m from my own pocket,” Pallaso said as he handed over the cheque to the Ghetto kids.
The singer added that this was a token of appreciation for all they do for the country.
He added that he was also showing love to his favorite people.
Patricia the lead member of the crew proceeded to thank Pallaso. She revealed the hardships they go through daily because they have no direct sponsors.
“We are really grateful to uncle Pallaso. We didn’t truly expect this and thought he’s just coming for a visit. He’s one of those people who has loved and supported us. Many people think that we are rich but it’s the opposite. We don’t have much on us and we sometimes go hungry. We don’t have any sponsors,” Patricia said.
Despite amassing millions of views from their online work, the group seems not to earn much from their work.
