Pastor Wilson Bugembe has given back to gospel artistes in this season. many people came out last week and cried out to several pastors to help gospel artistes. Artistes have not been working since last year in March.
No one knows how most of them are surviving but one thing is for sure, they are struggling. It is for this cause that those who felt concerned about them came to cry out to several known pastors.
It is this call that Pastor Bugembe responded and came out to give some items to the artistes. He reached out with some food; Matooke, Posho and others.
He however said this was done on short notice but he is planning for something bigger. Pastor Bugembe said on his birthday, he will be giving back to the people especially artistes.
His birthday is on 8th August, he encouraged different people to join him to collect money for this cause. Pastor Bugembe said he has named his birthday, good Samaritan day.
Much as he has not been so much in the news, Bugembe said he has been giving back but mostly to his community and church members within his reach.
Gospel artistes, like all other artistes, have been affected by this season. However, they have not been coming out in the media to speak up.
Now that even churches are closed, they hardly have a source of income. Meanwhile, the 42-day lockdown is about to come to an end so that we find out the next step from the president.
