Pastor Bugingo Scoffs At Those Doubting Him

Pastor Bugingo Aloysius has scoffed at critics doubting the attempted assassination on his life. It should be noted that this attack left his bodyguard and church elder Richard Muhumuza dead. Bugingo said that he won’t undress to the public to show proof that he was hurt due to respect for his privacy.

The pastor revealed this while addressing mourners at the burial of Muhumuza in Muguluka Village, Lwebitakuli Sub-county in Sembabule District last Friday.

The House of Prayer Ministries International boss narrated how unknown gunmen attacked his car on Tuesday, January 2 in Rubaga Division. This was in an attempt to end his life but sadly that of his bodyguard was tragically taken.

Despite the attack which according to reports involved more than 10 bullets fired by the yet-to-be-known assailants, sections of the public continuously raised questions.

They are doubting if the attack was indeed by assailants or a staged attack specifically targeting Muhumuza.

Some even doubted the pastor’s account of the incident, in which he said he was shot in the back. They are demanding to see the bullet wound from his back.

This is a demand the pastor has audaciously refused to bow down to. Bugingo questioned the motive of the people demanding he pull off his clothes to show the nature of injuries sustained on his back.

“I will not undress myself for everyone to show the wounds sustained on my back. I have the injuries but this does not call for undressing for whoever wants to see and possibly make it a subject on social media,” the outspoken pastor said.

Pastor Bugingo added that in the fierce 9 pm shooting, he sustained injuries on his back. He added that his bodyguard became a shield as the gunmen fired the bullets continuously.

“As they fired, I started feeling cold from my back. Richard leaned on me and I heard the voice of the Lord instructing me to bend down. It was a frightening experience.”

“The shooting continued and the voice continued to tell me not to shake myself to confirm to the attackers that I am dead. Next, another voice revealed to me that they were gone. I looked for where to start the vehicle and I drove up to Mulago Hospital,” he narrated.

While in the hospital, a lot of pictures were taken. He suspects that a certain nurse shared one picture while he was sitting. This is what social media is using to attack him thinking the only wound he has, is that.
