Pastor Martin Ssempa, has raised inquiries about the circumstances surrounding General Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s exit from the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
On Friday, Gen Muhoozi announced his departure from X, where he had garnered over a million followers.
In a post, Gen Muhoozi cited religious instructions as the reason for his exit, stating it was time to focus on his duties within the UPDF.
Pastor Martin Ssempa, however, sought clarification on whether Muhoozi’s departure was voluntary or if it was a result of potential bans linked to recent remarks made against Bobi Wine, the leader of the National Unity Platform.
Speculations emerged on social media regarding a possible ban on Muhoozi’s account due to threats directed at Kyagulanyi. Pastor Ssempa emphasized the need for transparency on this matter to dispel any uncertainties surrounding the situation.
Muhoozi’s absence from X is expected to be felt by his followers, particularly missing his engaging ‘Friday night banter.’
Despite his departure, he hinted at a potential return in the future, expressing his dedication to promoting peace and security in the region.
