Pastor Ssempa Brags About Winning A Court Case Against Red Pepper

While appearing in a YouTube interview with Kasuku, Makerere Community Church pastor, Martin Ssempa boasted about winning a court case against Red Pepper. The Pastor said that he dragged the tabloid to court after they wrote a story tarnishing his image.

The Court ordered Red Pepper to pay him Shs 5M but up to now, they have never cleared him.

“I dragged Red Pepper to court and won the lawsuit against them. Court ordered them to pay me Shs 5M but up to now they have never cleared me. I am even a case study at LDC. They study about how Martin Ssempa dragged a tabloid to court and won the case.” Pastor Ssempa said.

He however said that he was surprised that the same tabloid defended him a few years ago when he was in the hot seat.  Pastor Ssempa was among those dragged to court for allegedly trying to tarnish Pastor Kayanja’s name.

Ssempa said that up to now, he’s still surprised that the people he expected to defend him didn’t and the least expected did.

“There is a pastor I won’t mention who was accused of homosexuality and my name came into the mix. The people I most expected to defend me didn’t but Red Pepper that I had been fighting wrote the true story that excused me from the mess.” Pastor Ssempa added.

He also talked about the decaying music musicians produce these days and the dirty stories in the tabloids.

Ssempa said that these always lead the young generation into temptations which results into teenage pregnancies and STDs.

He went ahead to say that he will continue fighting and sensitizing the masses about the dangers of pornography.

When they asked where he gets the obligation to interfere in other people’s way of living, he said that’s an African trait. The vocal pastor said Africans live communally and therefore a collective responsibility to look out for one another.
