Paul Pogba Won’t Be Training With Manchester United Contrary To Rumors

Rumors that former Manchester United defender Paul Pogba will be training with his former side as he looks for a new club have been debunked. Reports have been indicating that the 31-year-old will return to Carrington Ground, United’s training facilities to keep in shape.

This has now been reported as false because the Frenchman continues to train in Miami. There have been no contacts with any club and he will only train with the team that he signs for.

“Reports of Paul Pogba set to train at Manchester United’s Carrington are not true. Pogba is not planning to train at any club as he’s working in Miami on a daily basis. As soon as he signs for a new club, Paul will be ready to go and train there. No contacts with United.” a statement reads in part.

Where Pogba’s problems started from;

It should be noted that Pogba had his contract terminated mutually by Italian Serie A side, Juventus. This was after he was convicted of doping several months ago.

He was banned from professional football for four years but he saw his sentence reduced to 18 months which means that he will be eligible for a new club next January.

Several clubs have been linked to the 2018 World Cup winner, but none has shown concrete interest for now. When he decided to be one of the best midfielders in the world, Pogba saw injuries and controversies derail his career.

Many blame his 89m pound move from Juventus in 2016 back to his boyhood club, Manchester United, as the start of his career going down the drain.

He did not replicate his Bianconneri form between 2014 and 2016. Pogba arrived at a time when the Red Devils were going through turmoil that continues to this day, and this did not help.

The player was often criticized unnecessarily for non-footballing reasons, especially by the English media.
