Philadelphia Mass Shooting As Eight People Shot By Suspect, Police Says

Police officials have reported a mass shooting in Philadelphia, where a suspect shot eight people. The incident occurred just 20:30 local time (01:30 BST), local news outlet said and the victims were taken to local hospitals for medical treatment.

The identity and motive of the shooter are currently under investigation, and the police have not yet made any arrests.

The attack in Philadelphia on the eve of Independence Day come just one day after two people died and 28 were injured-about half of them children in a shooting attack in Baltimore, Maryland.

This tragic incident is a reminder of the ongoing issue of gun violence in the United States and the need for continued efforts to address this problem.

Meanwhile the police are asking anyone with information to come forward and assist in their investigation.

The shooting happened just after midnight in the village of Puy-de-Dôme. Police officers were rescuing a woman during a domestic violence incident in a hamlet, according to local news outlets.
