In Manila, the earthquake caused buildings to sway and people to flee into the streets.
“It was a really scary experience. I felt like the ground was moving beneath me, and I was worried that the building I was in might collapse,” said a resident of Manila.

Meanwhile there were also reports of power outages and communication disruptions in some areas. The government has activated its disaster response protocols and is working to assess the damage and provide assistance to affected communities.
“We are closely monitoring the situation and working to ensure the safety and well-being of all those affected by the earthquake,” said [insert name], a government spokesperson. “We urge residents to remain calm and follow the instructions of local authorities.”
The earthquake serves as a reminder of the Philippines’ susceptibility to natural disasters, including earthquakes, typhoons, and volcanic eruptions.
