Minister Phiona Nyamutoro Accused Of Fronting ‘Boyfriend’ Eddy Kenzo’s Agenda In Parliament

Ugandans on social media can be the most humorous people at times. They have now downed on young Minister, Hon Phiona Nyamutoro and accused her of fronting her alleged boyfriend, Eddy Kenzo’s agenda in parliament.

It should be recalled that the youth Minister was recently appointed as the state Minister for energy. However, while in Parliament yesterday, she presented points about the copyright law. This has been fronted by singer, Eddy Kenzo’s federation in the past couple of months.

It should be recalled that the minister and the singer have been close in recent times, sparking dating rumors. They even appeared as a couple of sorts at State House as Nyamutooro took the oath. It even prompted President Museveni to ask her what the bond is between them.

Taking to her social media, she said that the ICT committee yesterday presented a petition by the Federation. She was the first to present this issue to Parliament last year in October.

“The committee conclusively recommends that a comprehensive approach be adopted. This is to address the challenges facing the Uganda music industry in the digital era. This will ensure that the country harnesses the opportunities in the industry by improving the livelihood of people in the music industry value chain. It will also widen the revenue base for the government. Modernizing the Copyright law will enhance enforcement mechanisms, and promote local content. And it will also create a fair and transparent ecosystem in the music industry.”

Additionally, she wrote that Uganda can, therefore, foster a thriving and sustainable music industry. This will be done by addressing the concerns raised. It will not only safeguard the rights and interests of artists but also contribute to cultural and economic development.

As soon as she wrote this, everyone swarmed her comment section and said that everyone needs a woman like her. This is because she fronts her man’s agenda despite it not falling in her line of work.
