PM Robinah Nabbanja Takes Part In Paying Church House Loan

Prime Minister, Robinah Nabbanja has decided to take part in paying the loan on church house. The Church Of Uganda is struggling to pay a loan worth UGX 60 billion. Equity Bank says they helped the Anglican Church finish up this building as it had failed. Nabbaja said since she had promised her first salary to go to church, now is a great opportunity.

“During State House prayers recently, I pledged my first salary to go towards Church House. I am here to deliver on my promise of contribution to Church House project. Here is shs50 million,” Nabbanja said.

The Prime Minister also says this is her way of thanking God for her current position in the government.

“I have decided that I must thank God for giving me an opportunity to serve Ugandans with such honor. God has done miracles for me. Like you were surprised, I too was surprised when I was appointed Prime Minister but I will always thank God for this and ask Him for more wisdom.”

The Church Of Uganda started a campaign last month to pay off this ambiguous loan. This campaign is headed by the Archbishop, Dr. Stephen Kazimba. He encouraged all the churches under the Anglican church to contribute to this cause. Money can be deposited on either Airtel or MTN lines as given on their website or directly deposited via Equity Bank’s banking apps.
