Police Seizes Body Of Ugandan Killed In South Africa

Police at Entebbe International Airport have seized the body of a Ugandan man who got killed in South Africa. His murder took place in Langlaagte Gauteng province.

Police identified the victim as Fred Galiwango. They found his body mutilated and had four cut wounds, probably from a sharp object. Apparently, they also found the back of his skull cracked.

A source at the airport said the police caught the victim’s body on Saturday at around midnight. They also withheld the body as investigations into the circumstances around his death continue.

“We recovered supporting documents including his passport and took the body to the city mortuary at Mulago Hospital where a post-mortem was done by Dr. Ambayo,” a source privy to the matter revealed.

Apparently; a one Silas Nsubuga, brother to the deceased, recorded a statement. According to another source, they found Galiwango’s body to be charred. This suggested that the killers burnt the body after murdering him.

Additionally, after confirming that the late died of natural causes, Police took other parts of his body for a toxicology examination.

When contacted on the matter, Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson and his deputy, Luke Oweyesigyire, requested for more time to inquire and provide updates regarding the matter but they were yet to do so by press time.
