Police Shoots Bartender In Love Triangle, Gets Arrested

Love triangle: A Kenyan police officer has been taken into custody after he opened fire on his boss’ lover, a bartender. A report released by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) revealed that the officer had accompanied his boss to the bar in Kapenguria.

This followed a tip-off that his lover was warming up to another man.

When they got to the bar, it had been locked from the inside. However, the commissioner confirmed that one of the voices inside belonged to his lover.

In a twist to the love triangle, the two then made up their minds to find a way to get inside and confront her. The duo knocked on the door appealing to Nelimo to open up the door. Apparently, they asked her to sell them some drinks according to the report.

She hesitated at first but after one revealing that they wanted take-away drinks, she opened up. As soon as she opened up, a heated argument started off. The administrator asked the name of the man she had been talking to.

This entire time, the officer had a bullet in the chamber of his gun. The accused man stayed in place. The others around tried to explain the situation but all fell on deaf ears.

“The commotion escalated and without warning, the police officer opened fire and shot the bar attendant on her abdomen, occasioning her life-threatening injuries,” the DCI wrote.

Consequently, the administrator and the officer fled the scene, leaving the lady writhing in pain. People arrived at the scene and rushed the lady to the hospital where she was admitted in critical condition.

They eventually filed the report at the nearest police station as police launched a manhunt for the two suspects. They eventually got caught and the gun that fired the bullet got recovered too.

DCI officers will question the suspects and witnesses before possible arraignment in court.
