Political Analyst Muhimbise George Pins MTN Uganda For Cheating Users

Muhimbise George, a Political Analyst has slammed telecommunications company MTN Uganda for cheating people in terms of internet access.

He said he has been acquiring MTN pulse internet bundles from the service provider for a while now. This, therefore, led him to discover how he and many others might be cheated by MTN.

He revealed that when he buys the MTN pulse 2.6 GB, they instead give him only 2gb.

“For one to have these bundles you dial *175# and yes and then continue. One of the bundles is 2.6gb for 5000 and it’s valid for 3 days, but these thugs give you instead 2gb,” he said.

He further revealed that MTN Uganda will send you a confirmation message that you have loaded 2.6gb.

“But because they are cheating, they don’t show the balance when you use the normal procedure of checking your balance. You can only use another procedure of 175*2*3# if you want to check your pulse bundle balance,” he added.

He said the logic in this is that a few people will bother to check through the long process while some may not know how to.

He, therefore, concluded that Uganda Communications Commission should investigate how much money Ugandans are losing.

“How did I know it? I loaded the 2.6gb data and immediately checked the balance when my data was not connected, and the message they sent to me was that I had 2gb,” Muhimbise lamented.

He advised Ugandans to expose this bad vice of cheating by sharing his message.
