Politics Is About A Party That Can Ably Solve Problems Of People – Museveni To Soroti

President Museveni has told the people of Soroti that politics is specifically about a party that can ably solve the problems of the people.

He said this while he was campaigning for his party candidate, Hon. Herbert Edmund Ariko, in the Soroti City East by-election.

“Politics is not about leaders but it is about ourselves and the party that can ably solve the problems of the people. You need a good tube ‘epii’ in Ateso’ to be able to suck properly Ajon (local millet brew) from the pot and that epii is Ariko,” Museveni said.

According to Museveni, NRM is the only tested party that can solve the problems in Soroti that include Soroti. Museveni says even if a candidate is good but is in a bad party that person is of no value.

So he cannot do much to help the people. Therefore, he recommended that the people of Soroti vote for Ariko who comes from a stable party, NRM.

Museveni also said regarding the education sector, he wants free education for the whole country. He tasked the people to reject those who are always out to jeopardize his plans regarding the education system.

“You need to force those who don’t accept my plans to stop their schemes. The completion rate of primary education is 38 %, 62% don’t go beyond P7. Now how do you modernize the country,” he wondered.
