Most of the older brothers like Nyanzi, Eddy Yawe joined politics years ago but they didn’t become successful in the field. They kept on trying for years, not until the younger and more famous brother, Bobi Wine, decided to join them in politics.
Bobi Wine’s first try to join Parliament as a Member of Parliament became successful. He went ahead to further his career by deciding to contest as the president of Uganda in 2021.
The talented singer also formed his own political party National Unity Platform (NUP) and his brothers and sisters got so much involved.
Fred Nyanzi his elder brother contested as Kampala Central MP but he lost. His sister Irene Kayemba also contested as a Member of Parliament but she failed.
Ugandans have been wondering if politics is the official family business of the Ssentamu family. However, Banjo Man has replied to their question.
He said politics is not the Ssentamu’s family business but he believes in the Bible that orders people to be the heads not tails. He also said he believes in winning in business as he did and not being actively involved in politics.
“Politics is not a family business. The Bible orders us to be the heads and not the tails. I believe it is also okay to win in my line of things and business and not be active in politics like my other siblings,” he said.
