Preacher Blames Uhuru Kenyatta For The Third Wave Of Covid-19

A preacher in Kenya has blamed Kenyatta for the third wave of coronavirus in the country. Bishop Peter Ambuka from the Pefa church in Kahawa West area Blames the president and his cabinet for selfishness.

“You [President Kenyatta], and your fellow politicians are to blame for this devastating third wave and the buck stops with you,”

“You continue living your lavish lifestyles, thanks to the taxes we continue to pay even as we lose our source of income,”

Bishop Peter said at the time when the Covid cases had gone down, president Kenyatta and Raila Odinga reopened their campaigns. These campaigns were in a bid to change the constitution thus attracting huge crowds. Obviously, this resulted in the new Covid wave because SOPs were ignored during those campaigns.

The preacher noted that the new measures put across are only going to make Kenyans move in cycles. President Kenyatta has already declared lockdown in five counties in Kenya and also curfew on top of that. However, Bishop Peter says all they need now is massive testing and vaccination.

“A massive campaign of testing and vaccination is what will bring us back to a normal life,”

Kenya has registered over 2000 deaths of Covid. Currently, all hospitals are full with patients to a point that some have nowhere to receive treatment from.

Kenya is neighbouring Uganda and this means if we don’t take precautions, we are soon having another wave as well.
