In the same spirit, Fisal Sendi Katumba also returned unopposed for the post of General Secretary. This followed nominations of the two for those positions of Friday, 9 July 2021
‘’The electoral committee extends its heartfelt thanks for all of those who participated in the electoral process in accordance with the road map, it has. This follows the official closure of nominations for those willing to stand as candidates for the post of National General Secretary and President,’’ Charles Bisaso, the Electoral committee chairman said.
This, therefore, gives time to the two nominees to campaign from the date of declaration until the polling period.
Despite running unopposed, they have to seek an electoral mandate from the delegated plus the incumbents in their capacities. This is stipulated in the Uganda Ludo Federation constitution article 9.
This means that the two candidates for the two posts have to go to the polls from Tuesday 13 to Wednesday 21 July 2021.
This will be through the official email of the ULF. And in order to attain an electoral quorum of a third as mandated in the ULF constitution.
Forty districts will vote through their two delegates, delegated from three ULF special interest groups of referees, coaches, and players.
On top of that, eleven incumbents are to participate in the voting exercise. This will therefore make the required electoral quorum of a third.
After the polling on Wednesday 21, the electoral committee will announce the results on Saturday 24 July 2021.
