President Museveni has revealed that he apparently tested negative for Covid-19 after 11 days. He confirmed the news through his social media platforms last evening. The president was confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19 almost two weeks ago.
However, none of those close to him, not even his wife Janet Kataha Museveni was positive.
During his sickness and self-isolation, he updated Ugandans about his health through social media every day. There are two days he didn’t give an update and rumor started circulating on social media that he is dead and others were saying he is in ICU.
The President later came out and trashed the rumors through twitter. He said he has been told that there are some people especially Kenyans spreading fake rumors about him being in ICU.
With all the prayers his supporters have been praying for him, President Museveni has finally confirmed that he is no longer having the virus in his body.
He thanked God for enabling him to heal properly and so quickly. President Museveni said he had made progress by Wednesday last week although he was still testing positive for COVID-19.
“On the war with corona, it is now confirmed that I am a veteran graduate of the war with that enemy. Today, the samples showed that I had turned negative vis a vis corona. Even the samples of last Wednesday had showed the reduced presence of the virus parts. The Glory goes to God,” he tweeted.
