President Museveni is today set to address the country at 8 pm. This address is going to be national and as usual will be broadcast on all TV channels, radio stations and other online social media platforms.
Museveni is set to address the country on issues of national importance.
The President’s address is expected to primarily focus on security, health, the festive season. He will also speak about his recent encounters at the US-AFIRCA Leaders Summit.
For security, there has been a scare in the western part of Uganda after the ADF rebels crossed from Congo to Uganda. These killed a number of people.
They and also forced others to flee although the UPDF said that it put a number of them out of action. Museveni will therefore delve into this issue and the way forward.
In regards to health, the President is expected to address the ebola scourge. A number of weeks ago, this had brought about a scare in the country’s population. This however seems to have been brought under control.
Apparently, President Museveni is also expected to reveal the discussions and talks he held in his recent trip to the US.
The president who has severally criticized the west for their anti-Africa strategies was among Biden’s guests recently. He also held a stopover in the UK which he described as business related.
Furthermore, the President is also expected to talk about the festive season, especially about safety following the recent road accidents.
