President Museveni To Address The Nation Today, What Do The People Expect?

As the president prepares to address the Nation today and people have a lot of expectations. Apparently, he is going to talk about the situation at hand in the country. Many people expect him to talk about curfew, vaccination process, political situation and the sort. Obviously not forgetting there are things that are still under siege but the country wants open already.

The complaints he is yet to address;

The Muslim fraternity since their month of Ramadan started have been crying out. Under their leadership, they had requested for curfew to be extended for them. It is difficult to catch up with the curfew because their activities closely run together. From the hour of 7:00 pm when they are having Futari. Immediately after that, they need to go for prayers at 8:00 pm yet curfew is at 9:00 pm.

The entertainment industry has also been crying out to be allowed to operate. The president during his address to the nation denied concerts, bars and the sort from operating last year in March. However every time the president is addressing the nation, he doesn’t say a thing about it. Meanwhile, even if not legally open, some have been operating and still are under the president’s nose.

Some people have on the other hand asked the president to be intentional about issues. Radio presenter, Kasuku asked the president to either lift curfew or reinforce it to apply to everyone. According to him, it doesn’t make sense for some people to work beyond curfew yet he denies others.

Do we still need curfew? Is it still important? It should be justified then because it has lost meaning for many as of now.
