Presidential Address; Public Raises Concerns They Want President To Talk About In His Address Today

Since the presidential address to the nation is today, different members of the public have hinted at what they want the president to talk about.

Obviously, the issue raised by everyone was the issue of inflation in the country. Most people are very bothered by the economic situation currently but the government has done nothing.

“He should focus more on the solutions to the increased commodity prices and fuel as well. Then also address the issues of health workers strikes. Hee should also set a minimum wage for industrial casual workers because they are really exploited,” a one Leonard Opio.

“His focus shd be more of how the govt can subsidize and give tax reliefs to the investors manufacturing local products to help a local peasant that is suffering with skyrocketing prices when the earnings even continue to go low,” a one Mathias Major.

Another group of people have however said they expect nothing from the Presidential address speech. According to them, it’s better not to expect than to get disappointment.

“There is nothing we expect surely, me I lost hope in this Govt only God to help us , … Will just compare wz history everything compared wz the past I don’t know why he does that,” a one Bufumbo Joel.

“Ugandans should not expect anything serious from the president’s address. He presides over a government without business for the ordinary Ugandans. Perhaps he will put more emphasis on citizens eating cassava,” a one Okello James.

In any case the nation address is on today at 2pm and it will be live on all radio and TV stations.
