Prof. Lawrence Muganga has come out to address the claims made by faded socialite Shanitah Namuyimbwa aka Bad Black a few days ago about the bursaries given out by Victoria University.
It should be noted that the University under Ruparelia Group of companies gave out a scholarship to Champion Gudo, singer Alien Skin’s lead bouncer. The Fangon Forest boss however rejected it and asked Rajiv Ruparelia and Muganga to go to Makindye and meet him.
It apparently seems that they refused to go there, something that has been drawing criticism to the singer.
Bad Black who was once contracted by the University came out to defend the Sitya Danger singer. She revealed that these bursaries are always fake and Muganga does them to ride on the fame of those who are trending.
Further, she revealed that she herself was promised that her son Jonathan would study from there until university.
Besides, she was also promised Shs 10m but never got a penny. And after 1 year, they stopped paying school fees for her son which prompted her to take him to Greenhill Academy.
Therefore she sided with the singer in rejecting this offer.
However, Prof Lawrence Muganga said that Bad Black had wrongly read her contract. And when she got her lawyers, they were able to read it to her and make her understand it.
Furthermore, he added that they had forgiven her for her false claims. This is because she had issued an apology after.
“We don’t have a problem against Bad Black as a University. In fact, we forgave her for those false claims. She hadn’t read and understood the contract but after getting her lawyers, they helped her to understand it. The contract was for one year. Good enough she issued an apology to us after.”
