The Brazilian forward Neymar, 28, says that leaving PSG does not cross his mind at any point of time. Neymar and the France forward Mbappe, however, are yet to agree to signing contract extensions.
PSG president Nasser al-Khelaifi is very confident that the two will agree contract extensions.
Liverpool, being the rumored destination for Mbappe, has received a boost in their pursuit for the French star. The young French striker showed his best on Wednesday night against Istanbul Basaksehir when he scored twice and assisted Neymar as well.
Liverpool knows it will make a sensational bid to dislodge Kylian Mbappe from Parc des Princes. They have also reportedly sounded out another attacking target. On the other hand, the Reds have to battle Real Madrid for the signature of the World Cup winner’s signature.
As the PSG chiefs are hopeful that Mbappe will extend his stay at the club, Mbappe is believed to have doubts over the club’s ambition. Mbappe’s current contract expires in just over 18 months.
As for Neymar, he appears to be ready to commit his long-term future to the club after years of rumors about a move back to Barcelona.
“I am very happy here in Paris. I am very happy at the club, with my team-mates. The idea of leaving does not occur to me,’’ Neymar said.
