Public Faults Police For The Way They Treated Man Who Was Parading As Woman

Members of the public have shown nothing but disgust towards the police fir a video that has been making rounds on social media. There has been a video of a man who has for some time been parading as a woman to con money from men.

In this video, the policemen told this man to undress in front of the camera. He almost remained with no clothes on him.

A number of people did not like the way he was treated because he is still a suspect anyway. In Uganda, one is innocent until proven guilty. Former NBS Journalist, Daniel Lutaaya, also said this was very unprofessional by the police and should be reprimanded.

“Why would you force someone to undress so you can record them. Isn’t that indecent assault? Haven’t you, therefore, forced someone into pornography which is illegal? That was unprofessional of whoever recorded and if they were @PoliceUg officers, they need to be reprimanded.”

“@PoliceUg this is dehumanizing and unacceptable. You are sexist, homophobic & transphobic. Would you do that to someone else whose sexuality they don’t suspect? Did u need to undress them? These officers should be charged with breach of Anti-Pornography Act & Computer Misuse Act,” a one Solome Nakaweesi commented.

The Police has not yet come out to talk about this video or what they will do to the officers.
