Public Reacts To MP Andrew Koluo’s Failed Fundraising

The Toroma County Legislator Hon Joseph Andrew Koluo recently organized a fundraising drive. However, reports indicate that it badly flopped hence members of the public condemning it as something they didn’t know about.

The public in general revealed that they knew how MP Koluo would register a low turn up which actually came to pass. According to him, the fundraiser had to happen on 22nd July at Orimai primary school in Kapujan sub county (his home sub county).

Koluo organized the event titled “Youth and women community transformation through savings”. He did this under the pretense that the President of the Republic of Uganda would be the chief guest without consultation.

He further placed his son Ooja Joseph to be the one in charge of collecting the money contributions. Mr Ooja Joseph works at the MP’s Kampala based office as the P.A.

When Andrew Koluo realized that many Members of parliament would not attend the event, he called it off until further notice.

This is to notify you that due to unavoidable circumstances, the fundraising exercise which was scheduled to take place on Saturday 22nd July 2023 at Orimai Primary school in Kapujan Sub County has been postponed. An appropriate date and venue shall be communicated but Mobilization continues. We regret any inconvenience caused. TEAM Hon. Koluo sharp sharp”. The Mp stated.

Apparently, out of over 82 ministries and over 500 MPs in Uganda, only two contributed towards the MP’s event.

The MP is currently facing hardships after his agents became a “fuss” upon the event.
