Nigerian female teenage singer, Qing Madi has praised Ugandans for making her dreams come true. The singer recently headlined an NRG Radio concert that was massively sold out. The singer gave an all-time performance that left revelers on their toes.
Now, as they say, the first one is always the most special, this is the case with Qing Madi. Through her socials, she revealed that this was her first concert outside of Nigeria.
She also added that a lot of people actually discouraged her from going for it. They said that it would flop and nobody would come. She however stuck out her head and listened to her gut feeling.
Some of the things she was told was because she’s just been in the music industry for simply a year and the tickets were also overpriced.
Read her entire statement below;
“I had my first concert in Uganda … The most special day of my musical life. So many people discouraged me and said a lot about how it was too early, how I had only been in the industry for a year. Plus how the tickets were overpriced. So many even said no one would attend my concert…. But I only listened to what GOD ALMIGHTY said. And he approved of it. It goes without saying that Uganda turned up for me and they showed me true love, one that I will never forget… This would forever be embedded in my soul.”
However, as a popular saying goes in Uganda, the pearl of Africa is the kingmaker of global music stars, in Africa. Qing Madi can now also hatch on to the rest of the world.
A number of Nigerian singers have apparently blown up after performing in Kampala. And with the immense talent of the American Love singer, the sky is the limit.
