The newly crowned Miss World Africa at the 2018 Miss World finale that took place in China recently, Quiin Abenakyo returns home tomorrow, alongside Uganda Tourism Board who will be receiving her as a heroine.

Mr Ssempebwa John, the deputy chief executive officer of Uganda Tourism Board addressed journalists at Uganda Media Centre and said because of her efforts to uplift and recognize Uganda flag in China, she will therefore be received as a heroine.
After her arrival at Entebbe International Airport at around 1:30pm on Thursday, Quiin Abenakyo will be driven straight to the State House to meet the first family and president Yoweri Museveni,’’he said.
Since she’s now a true heroine and a National icon, she will be given a special welcome by the board just like they usually do to the Uganda Cranes when they win games outside the country,’’he said.
Mr John said during her meeting with Ugandan president at the State house, the Tourism minister will also declare the suitable position Quiin Abenakyo will be given in the UTB alongside other benefits she’ll receive from the government.
Who is Quiin Abenakyo?
She’s a 22 year-old and a computer science student at Makerere University Business School ( MUBS ). She was born in 1996, February by Mr Sembera Charles and Mrs Kyamulesire Alice from Mayuge district in Eastern part of Uganda.
She became a Miss Uganda in August 2018 at a ceremony which took place at Sheraton Kampala before proceeding to China for Miss World competitions.
