Singer Rabadaba Brands Uganda Third World And Backward Country After Fleeing To UK

Faded singer Faisal Sseguya aka Rabadaba has come out to brand Uganda a third-world country that is still so backward.

This was after he relocated to the UK together with his wife Salha formerly known as Nalongo Maggie. His comments were in regards to the music industry back in Uganda.

Rabadaba added that the only way Uganda can catch up with the rest of the world is by copying the Whites.

Further, the singer said that Whites are developing at a very fast rate and he, therefore, went to copy how they do it. According to the Lunyiriri singer, Ugandan music is however good.

The only problem it has is its failure to cross Ugandan borders. And with his relocation, he hopes to capture the wider global market.

The singer cited some of the African artists who have been living abroad but releasing good music. And this music has gone ahead to capture the masses back on the Continent.

“To be honest without beating around the bush, Uganda is a third-world country and still so backward. These whites are moving at a very first pace. The only way we can catch up is by going and learning from them. Most of the good West African artists who have conquered don’t live in their countries. They always move back and forth. Take the likes of Awilo Longomba, Fally Ipupa, they have been living in France for years but their music is hugely consumed back home. So it’s the way forward for me and I’m sure I will become a good global star,” he said.

He also addressed rumors of the bitter rant he unleashed last year against comedians Madrat and Chiko. This was after the two in their comedy roundup made fun of his newlywed wife, Salha.

Rabadaba however said that he has no problems with the duo and they are in fact his friends.
