Events promoter Ariho Nobat of Nobat Events has come out to reveal that singer Ray G has reportedly double-crossed him ahead of the singer’s much-anticipated concert next month.
It should be noted that the Forever singer will be live in concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval on the 10th of May.
Many singers such as Spice Diana, Sheebah Karungi, Lydia Jazmine, Fik Fameica among others have already endorsed the show and confirmed their attendance.
However, things seem to be taking the wrong path following the promoter’s revelation.
Nobat said that he was going to teach Ray G an unforgettable lesson. He threatened him saying that he should know that he’s not a musician who always gets disrespected when they go to Mbarara. It was Ray G who came to Kampala asking for the promoter’s help, not the other way around.
Additionally, the promoter said that it was him who negotiated everything from the organizers to the planning and venue. However, he’s not indicated anywhere on the official poster.
Besides, the money that they get from MTN, the official sponsor goes directly to Ray G’s phone. It’s like the Mureebe singer is the concert organizer and Nobat is the singer.
The worst thing is that URA doesn’t call Ray G to show the invoices from the service providers. They rather call the promoter who doesn’t have anything and is also just a spectator in the whole thing.
Read his statement below;
“I’m going to teach Ray G a lesson. It was he who came from Mbarara to Kampala pleading with me to organize his concert and not the other way around. He should know that I’m not these artists he disrespects when they go to Mbarara. Imagine I’m the one who planned everything but he has brought people on board I have no idea about. Besides, all the money from MTN goes directly to his phone. And yet URA calls me for the invoice from the service providers,” he said.
