“Parliament has lost over 35 working hours as a result of curfew as they have to close by 5. Committees of the house lost 180 hours of work as a result of curfew,’ said Rebecca Kadaga.
The Constitutional this morning Court ruled that expelled MPs should continue executing their duties as lawmakers. They include Apac Municipality Member of Parliament, Patrick Ocan, Sheema Municipality MP, Dr Elioda Tumwesigye, Ibanda Municipality MP, Tarsis Rwaburindore Bishanga, Nebbi Municipality MP Hashim Sulaiman, Kotido Municipality MP, Abrahams Lokii and Asuman Basalirwa for Bugiri Municipality.
“The matter of traders who lost their goods in South Sudan has been in Parliament since 2017. We ask that you look into it and address it so that Ugandan traders stop suffering”
“Parliament during the 4th session considered and approved 25 Bills to include the Administration of the Judiciary Bill 2018, the Local Content Bill, 2019 , the Landlord and tenants Bill, 2018, the Anti – Money laundering ( Amendment) Bill, 2019 among others,’she added.
